The Little Black Pot That Does It All

I love my new Lodge Camp Oven. I knew I would because it’s the fourth one I own. This one is the 8 inch two quart version. I also have a ten inch, a regular depth 12 inch and a deep 12 inch camp oven. I love to cook in them. I always told my kids when they were growing up that you could cook anything in a Dutch Oven and it’s really true! Now that the kids are grown up and gone I decided to buy this smaller camp oven for the times I don’t need a larger one to prepare food for more people. So far I’ve only cooked some pork ribs in the newest one, but when warmer weather gets here I’m planning to give that little black pot a good workout. It’s well made with a properly fitting lid and heats evenly making cooking a breeze.
